Some of you may have noticed but my blog doesn't get much attention these days.  Thankfully it's for a reason, and not just myself being lazy.  The countdown is on for my new collection (sneak peak featured in this post)... just over a week away!!  So excited to launch it, but in the meantime I thought i would take a little time out to do this outfit post.... seeing as it's getting closer and closer to winter, i wont have the opportunity to wear these sheer flowing pants much longer!  But i can't wait to pull them out again in summer...they will make some great beach pants!

On Tuesday night i attended the trunk show for House of Cards new Spring/Summer collection - Summer Days (and Summer Nights).  The collection was super cute, filled with pastels in shades of lavender, peach, sea foam and blue.  Featuring high waisted shorts, slit skirts, peter pan collared shirts, and vintage style ribbed tee's, the collection had a clear aesthetic, which Ashiya (designer) describes as 50's beachy!  The collection is due to be released in August!  In the meantime, you can visit www.houseofcardsthelabel.com

DIY PRADA.

So i have been lusting over the Prada Spring '12 earrings for a while now, and wanting to attempt a DIY.  Inspired by the amazing Kaz from Amped & Dangerous..and her DIY.... here is my own attempt!

You will need:

1. Flower earrings (try Sportsgirl, Ebay or Etsy)

2. Chandelier crystal earrings (try Diva, Equip, Ebay, Etsy... any cheap jewellery store actually)

3. Pliers

Step 1:

Just take off the earring attachment part of the crystal earrings. (either pry it off, or get some snips to cut it)

There should be a jump ring left on the top.  (if not get your own jump ring.. spotlight sells them) and attach it yourself, so that there is something for the flower earring to thread through.

Step 2:

Then simply thread the flower earring through the jump ring, and put on the stopper.

And viola... it's that easy!!!
